Total n00b question; copying PS1 saves to load on psx4droid v2
Total n00b question; copying PS1 saves to load on psx4droid v2 –
so this seems like a frustrating process, as i can't seem to find a quick, direct way of doing so. basically, what i'd like to do is to get my ps1 saves(or saves from gamefaqs, as a last resort) and run it on my android phone, with psx4droid v2, and load the save game state from the save file.
i have a stock fat ps2, and that's all. the methods i've found are to use uLaunchELF, or the FMCB boot installer. can i use either of these? do i just burn a boot disc, or will i need to have my ps2 chipped first? if not, how can i get save file from gamefaqs, and load it on psx4droid v2? any help would be greatly appreciated.
What format of memory card image psx4droid support? If it's a standard raw copy of psx mc it will be really easy, there's plenty of apps to manipulate saves on mc images. Also do not misleanding memory card images with save states which are just a dump of whole console ram (but saves are also inside them, and it's possible to extract it, look for "SC" header and marked all data up to 8KB (if this game save take one slot on MC, if more this will 16, 24, 32 etc.)).
If your PS2 have not solder any modchip or if it's not exploited you have no way to copy your saves i.e to usb device.
