Is there anyway to fix this?

If your tv doesn't suppport 576 (PAL) then you're out of luck. Get the NTSC/US version and you won't have a problem. Can't give you a link but there's a haven out there that has it. Best hint I can give you

It's Japanese release only game, and I thought you only had to patch PAL games, not NTSC games(Being this game is NTSC-j)?

Sorry, I didn't catch it was the Final Mix version. Getting lazy and just glancing at stuff I guess. I thought you were using a european version. Your tv doesn't look that old - there's no setting on your tv to adjust the horizontal/vertical display size?
Edit: did you try changing from widescreen to fullscreen on your tv?

It's alright ahah.
And yes I did, didn't work. It looks exactly the same on all full, widescreen, and cinema modes.
If it was an ISO error it wouldn't boot at all, correct? Because I'm not sure if I should just try getting another one or not.

The problem isn't with the game, it's with your tv. I get the same thing when launching some stuff on my PS3. What brand/model tv is it?

Hm. I've tried it on three tv's so far, and nothing. Same problem.
I've tried it on two Sylvannia HDTV's and a Toshiba SDTV.
My tv and the one posted is a 720p Sylvannia HDTV.
Also, would having PS2 component cables make a difference?

It's possible about the cables, but I think your problem from your pics is you have widescreen tv's. I don't have that game, but it probably doesn't support widescreen. Those tvs weren't that common when it came out. You would have to switch your tv to standard/full screen if you don't have a way to set the actual screen size through your tv menu

just to let you know that that will not work in gummy missions unless you are using the most recent revision of OPL you will only get a black screen for it and lockup

V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be
