    These 2 laser came from 2 manufacturer ( sanyo for the open face v5, sony for the closed face v7 )

    But if you change a sanyo to a sony it doesn't work. but there is a way to make it mork.

    I'm searching for the tricks to do it.

    That would be good if you can figure out how to interchange the 2 without replacing SMD parts on the mobo.
    The Yellow PS2 auto-boots all. PS2, PS1 stealth and DVD movies.

    I have not information. I really haven't had time to compare the 2 different boards. One repair place said that some components were on locations that they were not on another board near the opening on the board itself near the laser ribbon cable. That's about all I know.
