steering wheel suggestions
steering wheel suggestions –

I've been looking for a decent steering wheel for my ps2, and I'm wondering if anyone here has some suggestions.
The most important thing I can think of is that it have the least ammount of delay from the wheel to the game. Read a few reviews on the cheaper brands I see on ebay and if its not a bad delay time its a 20-30 degree dead zone in center position. So those are out of the question.
I was looking at the Logitech Force Driver (the commonly pictured one with the blue wheel and lap adjustment, not the Pro). Found that for a pretty good price, and while the reviews were generally better I'm still up in the air.
Wouldn't mind one that also worked on the pc, but first and foremost its for the ps2. Anyone got some recommendations?

yes buy it, if the price is oke for you. theres absolutely no choice to the driving force, or if u can afford the driving force pro.
it works on pc too without any probs.
i got mine for 35 euro used, but they still go for around 60-65 euro at ebay.

If you're looking for a cheap but good wheel then get the non-pro Driving Force, but if you have a bit more money and play GT4 then get Driving Force Pro. It changes the feel of the game completely

I would like the pro, but I can't justify spending 4 times as much on the pro then the normal one deal I found.
Could anyone verify a problem I heard with the normal driving force where you can't change gears while the wheel is turned?

The shift paddles on the Logitech Driving Force do not work when the wheel is at full lock (about 100 degrees of rotation towards left or right), but will work when it is somewhere less than 90 degrees. It's not too bad but will take time adjusting to not being able to shift at full lock. You can always use the buttons on the wheel to shift if needed. There are 2 buttons that rest nicely where your thumbs should be.

I have the Logitech Wingman steering wheel at work for use with the drivers for driving simualtion programs. It connects via USB port. Do you think it would work with the PS2?
