Splinter Cell prob with Magic 3.6 and clip installed

I installed a Magic 3.6 with the clip in a friends ps2, and it works fine with the exception that when playing SplinterCell, when you get to a save option in the game, it saves then reboots and pops up a message that cd in not ps2 yadya yada. It is not a copy, it a original game.

Has anyone else had any like problems?

You must have a v7. The Magic 3.x can't get by this problem. You need an Apple Pro, Messiah 2, DMS3, or Magic V.
