hey guys, im fairly new to the Harddrive side of ps2 modding, and need to query a few things. the machine is modded with a messiah 2 if that helps.
firstly, If i set up an ftp server on my ps2, can i transfer isos accross to it, or do i need to extract the files first. is there a tutorial that i might follow for this information?
secondly, i have an xbox also that i link to my pc for smb sharing, and find it annoying that i have to keep changing my settings on my nic (i dont use a router) is there a way around this. I use 192.168.0.1 for my xbox, and have to keep changing to 192.168.1.111 to comunicate to my ps2.
next question is, can i change the boot screen of my ps2, in effect use the hdadvance screen without having to load up a disc. My laser is nearly gone ha ha. A tutorial (if its possible) would be appriciated.
I didnt mod the ps2 myself, and have virtually no such soldering skill to hand. A noob friendly reply would be much appriciates.
Searches assume i just want to set up the hdadvance, and doesnt pull any relevant information.
thanks guys

you can change the ip\subnet of the ps2 - i think its in ipconfig.dat. search the PS2 HDD Discussion forum - its all in there.
