Soldering Help –
i know real guides tell you to apply heat to the pad and then add solder to the pad and not to the iron, but i Have practiced and held the iron on the pad for over 30 seconds and tried applying solder to the pad doesnt go at all, but if i lay the iron on the pad and get the solder right next to the tip it flows..
Is that right?
I mean I use 60/40 .32 diameter Rosin-Core radio shack solder, and a 20/40 watt switchable iron, I use 20 watts for the pcb work, so I mean I have all the right stuff. I also have a 15 watt and it does the same exact thing as above...
most irons have tips that are just too damn wide...but that shouldn't make a huge difference here
somethings just cant be learnt by reading or pictures
you have to see how its done with your own eyes
