Slot 1

Hi i opened my friends ps2 to see what chip he has and when i put it back together if i plug the controller into slot 1 it won't work but the anolog light will turn on if i push it.if i put it on slot 2 it works fine how do i fix this ?

maybe the controller ribbon cable is pluged in a bad way... or maybe some lines are open..... try repluging it or replace it....

Rich is very good to deal with. Before you order anything though check to make sure its not something else. I have seen this problem happen a few times when the metal RF shield that covers the back of the controller port comes in contact with the controller pots PCB from being bent or broken or whatever.
