    Hello everybody,

I've got the following nasty issue; Every game I try to play on my PS2 Slim - 77004, it never displays the image correctly - it appears something like an inch shifted to the right of the screen's center (regular CRT TV).
Usually the majority of games have an in-game menu-option, that provides you with "screen adjustment/ positioning", but not every game, and particularly the "Tomb Raider Underworld". Which is shifted like 8 centimeters to the right and the game does not provide screen adjustment.
    The console is modded.
Any participation to my situation will be much appreciated!

Can you provide info on which modchip it has, or stuff you see on the screen indicating it's modded? Some modchips have a setting for screen fixes.

There's always a possibility the chip install isn't stable, like a wire is loose or something. But I don't know enough about chip installs to make any kind of real diagnosis.

Some basics things that would be helpful here are:
    • Does this happen on other game consoles connected to this same TV or does this shifting happen if you connected this PS2 to a different TV?
    • Has this been a problem since the moment you bought the PS2, or did it just start happening after the modchip was installed?

I am afraid, that I'm not aware of the actual modchip being in use. And its definitely not a chip issue, I believe. I mean, everything is perfect, just this offset. For example, RE4 is perfectly centered, other games though, not so.
This is probably my 3rd PS2 I own, and regardless if its being modded, the image is quite the same.

The initial PS2 boot menu is also always perfectly rendered, as well as the subsequent "PLAYSTATION 2" title, and right after tha game is being loaded, the picture shifts.

Interestingly, my XBOX360 displays perfectly everything I run on it. So the issue appears only on my PS2. And I am quite used to this, but I really want to play Tomb Raider Underworld on PS2, therefore I'm looking for help, and solve this once and for all.

I will also try it on another TV..

If the version of the modcihp will help, I may open it and get that for you.

Thank you for your time and effort.

    edit: I got it; what's "OMO 5.0"?

It's a Matrix clone. I have a ModBo that is exactly same looking.
Interesting wiring, using wrapping wire i see, never thought of that

But to the point, are u using an RGB-cable? I have same problem, with same RGB-cable with both PSX and PS2.
I know the problem is not related to a modchip. It's something else, whick i have'nt figured out yet. I've seen it's a common problem with RGB-cables.

TO the last question - by now, I was with the regular cable..

Funny enough, an RGB cable and input signal, solved my issue!
Furthermore, it turned that I had this only with NTSC region games, though the TV sets I play and tried, support both regions; and of course, the console is modded, but still!
By some odd reason, something is not right.
    Now the picture fit perfectly.
    Thank you!
