SCPH 50000. Got Some Questions

Hi all, just as the US have received their PS2 v9 model,have a bit of questions to ask some of the ps2 veterans in here. here goes..

1. Why does the US v9 cost 179.99 while the japanese is selling them at 269.xx here in Hong Kong

2. Does the Japanese 50000 support the English Language in the browser. Is there any setting that I need to change to set the language..

3. I've bought some PAL DVD games, will it work on the japanese NTSC-J ps2 withoput any modchip installed

4. Anyone know who sells modded v9 ps2 online in Asia...seems like Lik-sang has gone legit..

Just wanna make sure before I buy online...

1. The Japanese version would cost more in HK because it's imported. HK has their own model.

2. It doesn't support English if you are using the BB Navigator browser. The standard browser should be able to change language in the system preferances.

3. No, you'll need a modchip

4. If you live in HK, there are many places you can take your PS2 to get it modded after you buy it. This is very cheap in HK.

Yeah, I bought my Jap SCPH-50000 for $300!!

Then the US one comes out and it's only $179

I just hope the controller works with the US model.
