Thats a v7 great PS2s, it *might* have a KHS-400c laser, said to be the best laser both my v7s have them so check. It looks like this, if it doesn't no biggy but yeah v7's are said to be the best versions.![]()

Agreed, V7 are great, easy to mod too compared to the older versions.
Breath Of Fire i dont really dare to open it yet :x but even if its not just that one its a good one right? Anyhow, i think this laser is a bit worn out because at times it makes kinda weird sounds. I have heard that you can clean the lens with isopropylalkohol, is this correct? If true, does anyone have any guide or advice?
Thanks guys.
The other laser type in v7s is HD-7, also good.
You can clean the lens with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud (available from any chemist) but if it works it's best to leave it alone, or just open it up and clean out the dust, then re-grease the laser rails.
okay. hmm re-grease? could you explain in deptht? is that a must when cleaning the laser? my english isnt so goodOriginally Posted by mp3boy
