Ribbon Cable?

I was attempting a few mods on my ps2 and i messed up the ribbon cable that goes from the dvd-drive to the mobo...

where it connects

it spins but the lazor doesnt move...and it wont read games

probably a cable issue.

if you have access to a multimeter, your best bet is to measure the resistance of each line (should be 4 ohms or less).

try some mod chip stores

i couldnt find anything..i dont kno the name and from wat ive counted its got 48pins

Theres a bunch of cables there that could help you. I dont work for them or anything, but ive gone there many times to get ps2 cables. Heh. Hope it helps..
