i won a ps2 (v5) on ebay as faulty, the guy selling it said it is not reading any discs and he thinks the laser is gone, can i just replace the diode rather than the whole unit as its a lot cheaper this is the part im talking about http://www.psxrepair.com/eurostore/p...products_id/95 soldering it in is no problem but does any1 know if i need to recalibrate the laser when its installed or should it just boot up if its soldered correctly
