    hi i have to replace the tray for my ps2 and id just like to know if there are any step by step instructions on the internet or if anyone has hints before i start.thanks very much.

    I left you a pm, but I'll post here too. Once you have the top of your ps2 and drive cover off, eject the tray and turn the power switch off. When it is all the way out, there will be two small screws on the left hand side of the tray, take those screws out and the tray will pop right off. That's how it is on my v4 anyway.
