utility that comes with a blank pss file.. it's in the first folder it shows when you press open to look for a file.
I tried this file on dave mirra 2 and it didn't work, maybe because it was encoded for pal (the author is australian). I would encode my own with the right resolution and framerate (which the readme says should match the original) but the mpeg2 encoder on tmpgenc won't work (expired).
http://thebackuphouse.tripod.com/bac...s/emptypss.zip Looks good, 640x480 30fps. I'll try it now.
Yay, that second one worked! I tried it with thps3 and it skipped right to the skateshop. Although its not the shortest movie possible (20 frames at 620kbs) it works. This causes almost a second of lag between each intro.
I'll definately try this out. Thanks for posting this!
I checked out Burnout 3, but it's full of .m2v files which I don't know how to handle. I googled it, and they seem to be mpeg2, but I couldn't open them with anything, including VideoLan. Ah well... I guess developers don't want us to get rid of their rubbish intro movies...
Thanks. From what I can see, newer games use some new video format which I don't know what to do with. I tried VideoLan, Media Player Classic, PS2 Movie Player 1.5 and GSpot. None of these programs can handle these video files or tell me anything about it. Only older games can be trimmed it seems...
