Remote conrtoll

Hi, I have an older PS2..one without the IR reciever. My question is there a remote w/dongle that will power on/off the console?
I asked around a few shops here where I live and everybody says no.
A simple yes or no is fine...If yes a link would be nice.

Thanks...But your link clearly states it does not turn on/off or reset PS2

i have the dvd remote control.. doesn't turn off the ps2 though.

I just hold the reset button on the remote and it turns it off/standby...

With the new PS2 console and remote, you can turn on/off the system with the remote control and eject the disc drive.
