It works with my madcatz memory card but my brother used cheats and it would only save as corrupted save maybe a datel problem dont know
Yeah its true. Wouldnt work on my maxmemory 16mb and Ive heard it doesnt work on others so I went and bought a sony card and now it works.
I don't think it "corrupts" non-sony mem cards completely. I do know that my RE4 saves on my 32mb card would NOT load after a reboot. I just saved RE4 on my regular Sony 8mb card and no problems (I even have gameshark codes on - I know...what can I say, I like to cheat)
true. some of my saves on my maxx card still work. it did screw up my network settings though. so i had to format it
i read somewhere that it doesn't work if the savegame isn't loaded in the "first" 8mb of the memory card
that means that it could work on a 16mb or 32mb card but only if it's physically in the first 8mb.. one way to insure this would be to make a backup of your memory card, then format it, then copy a few resident evil saves (purposefully make a few saves so you can use those slots later when you're playing and it doesn't have to create a new save on the memory card). and then copy over your backed up files.
i haven't tried this though but it might work.. if anyone wants to try and post.
it's just too bad that RE4 doesn't ask you on which MC you want to save.. since I have a 8mb sony card in my 2nd slot that would of made my life a lot easier then having to swap cards when i want to play.. not a big deal either way
i don't have 8 mb on my 16mb card. i just got my ps2 a week ago.
