Quick question about v9 console

Anyone with a version 9 silver please check under the cd tray and tell me
if there`s a metal bar ive just been given a almost brand new v9 silver
and i replaced the try as the guy ripped it out by temper

It works fine now but im curious i know other versions have like my v7

What? Someone gave you a almost new silver ps2? Damn, some people do get breaks in life. Anywho, I do not see a metal bar below the disc tray. But hey if it's working fine then I'd just not worry about it.

Yeh he has no clue about ps2`s its not the first ps2 he`s give me

when he ripped out the tray he dumped the bits in the bin and
i didnt get to see the parts so i ordered a v9 cd/dvd tray from whitedog
for £10 and a tray cover for £5 so 15 quid to fix it aint bad!

anyway thanks for the reply guys the bar is under the righthand side of the tray open the tray and turn the ps2 upsidedown and you will see it
for those whos interested, i think is for support!
