    1) Are 2nd hand lasers usually better at playing backup media than origianals?

    2) I have seen 2nd hand lasers that says they work for both V5 and V7. Dont V5 and V7 use different lasers?

    3rd party lasers? Hell no. Stay away.

    v1-v4 lasers and v4r-v7 lasers are interchangable i believe...

    but stay away from old lasers, the sony laser is a cheap POS
