I have a few questions, not all of them regarding the PS2, but they're similar.
)I have Ritek G04 media. I started with a different type, I can't recall the name. I noticed the nameless brand seems to be showing a lot more of the wear? Just a coincidence, or certain media withstand scratches better then others?
)All my original games are in their cases, but with my backup games I use DVD cases/wallets. I noticed over time a lot of my disks get slight scratches? I bought this certain case at Wal-Mart. It has white sleeves, doubt that really matters! The sleeves seem to have decent quality, I've seen worse.
)I just recently picked up a DVD repair kit, they are supposedly able to restore your disks. This certain set-up has a scratch remover, polish, cleaner, and sealer. Do they actually ever work, or just a waste of money?
)Also picked up a DVD Nexxtech DVD lens cleaner. Anyone ever have much luck with one?
)Lately I've been having trouble playing my Xbox games. Never experienced any problems before with it. Most of the games will load the opening sequence, but after that, they usually freeze or display the 'disk might be dirty' message!? With a handful of my Xbox games? So I can't see it being the disks, although they are rough looking, but nothing serious, just likely minor playing scratches and from entering and leaving my DVD case.
