question about v10 ntsc with fliptop

whats up guys. about a month ago i ordered a flip top cover for my unmodded v10. im using cogswap and its been working great.

i remember when the v9/v10 first came out the la chips were frying when the machine was chipped. its been awhile but i remember reading that the american v10s didnt suffer from the fried la chip. Is this correct??

should i not be playing backups on this console??

i did a search and found the 15 page thread but didnt really find my answer.

can someone help me out

u better find a promoder near u
before ur LA+lens died
...at least try to use good quality disk(verbatim)

For modding a v9/10 with a modchip, the romeo mod is done to protect the LA chip. I haven't heard of the LA chip going bad from using swap disc.

i have a v7 with a messiah 2 (see sig)

oh and i only use taiyo yoden dvd-rs

and the v10 fliptop is used by my roomate.
