UPDATE:
I added PS2 Save builder to the downloads here so users can dissect the save files for easy editing
(NOTE: If using Vista/Windows 7 run as admin as well as compatibly on Windows 98 as these seem to be the best settings with very few crashes)

UPDATE II:
Added the raw files of the mod as well..
Maybe this way users can translate this into English as well as make the mod work with a NTSC game

Well you all know about the PTMG version 2.0 & 2.1 mod Im sure by now..

Its a mod that lets you pretty much mod the PS2 game as you can with the PC version..

However I have been doing some digging in the PTMG main site for a bit and the site just seems dead..

While there I came across a MC mod that the team there made for GTA:SA

With that here is what the description (from the main site) as well as instructions on what to do with the files that are posted below..

"Hello to all! Today PTMG exclusively offers a patch that will jump more than one!

His name? GTA SA PTMG Edition / MC version \ 1.0 BETA
Why GTA SA PTMG Edition? Because this patch is a remake of the usual patches for gta on ps2 that PTMG offers.
Why / MC version \? Memory Card version, which I'll explain below.
Why BETA? For a version that is in its infancy offering very few changes and bugs display text that I intend next period.
Why 1.0? Because this patch is a copy of "light" version of the patch 1 "classic" GTA SA PTMG Edition.

Indeed, there is a patch containing the changes made on the patch GTA SA PTMG Edition v1-level programming (not so new textures) and is intended to ... keep you well ... PERSONS NOT TO READ THE TECHNIQUES FOR THEIR BACKUPS ON PS2!

Contents of the patch:

- Management of gasoline:
/ / Gasoline is disabled during missions. The reservoir can hold up to 100 units of gas. A unit costs $ 15 in one of 15aine stations on the map. When you exceed the 50% proficiency in driving, you eat twice as much petrol.
- Speedometer on the vehicles (km / h)
- Choice of:
/ / On a single keystroke (high + R2), a screen appears with all the vehicles in the game, you select one and it appears before you, like magic!
/ / On a single keystroke (up + R1), a screen appears with all the weapons in the game, you select it and it appears before you, like magic!
- Décensure included (hot cofee patch) without crashing as the patch current forum PTMG (crash missions is repaired, you can use the game normally but there is a crash after each "coffee". Tanpis so if you decide to say yes to your girlfriend to take the coffee you will then have to press start and start a new game or load an existing backup. If you do not say no to your girlfriend and the game will run normally. In short, he poses problem is that when ream. utlisation Each of hot coffee = restart the game but it is not very serious and it is always better than not putting anything because I think those that have Embete ca ' was refused each time the coffee. I suggest you save your game before each use of hot coffee to avoid losing the missions carried out before!
Below are the detailed features of this mod:

This patch is reserved to those with the original version of GTA SA in PAL.

YES, this patch is available to everyone! You can patch your game that you have a PSTwo unmodified, or even a PS2 (Classic) unmodified, without chip, swap, disk drive, or even no disassembly of your Playstation 2!


How does it work then?
You will need the following equipment:

- A PS2 memory card with at least 3.5 MB of free space.
- Your original game of GTA SA (no burn / copy only will be required)
- An Action Replay MAX or a friend with a method to read its backups or any other means you know who can transfer a backup to his pc to his PS2 memory card.

Unpack the archive. 3 Achives in (if you chose the raw version) or three *. max (if you chose the MAX version) available to you. If you have 7.5 mb free space on your memory card, select the full version 7.5 mb. Otherwise, choose the weapon or vehicle menu 3.5 mo.

Transferring your chosen backup your PC hard drive to your PS2 Memory Card (Many tutorials are available on the net to make it on www.ptmg.fr in the tutorial to save décensurer the ATM tells you a transfer a backup by the network or AR Max.)

Launch your original game of GTA SA with the CM containing the patch in memory card slot 1.
Once the game started, do start, go to new game ... and let it guide you!"

NOTE: I DID NOT MAKE THIS MOD
WITH THAT SAID ALL CREDIT NEEDS TO BE GIVING TO THE MAKERS OVER AT PTMG FOR THE MOD

I converted the .Max (Action Replay Max) files to .Cbs (CodeBreaker) as well for ease of use (NTSC & PAL versions are up)..

Also bear in mind (mods talking to you) that I am aware these are save related mods here..
However I am rather sure that this would be over looked at the corresponding thread if this was there..
If any mods do feel the need to move this to the "SAVE/MC" section please inform me first please..

Also This mod is in French/Portuguese..
With that said~ Is any one willing to try to translate the files for us English folks, so we can understand the GUI with in the mod
I have PM'ed as well as wrote on there forums for translations however no replie has been giving (Guess its up to us)

QUICK INSTALL/HOW TO TUTORIAL:

For starters, lets assume that you know how to transfer saves to and from your PC to your MC card (if not please do a search here on this site)..
All thats really needed is the corresponding cheat device and a USB (flash drive, thumb drive) to transfer the saves from PC to the PS2 MC..

Once the saves are installed to your MC-make sure to have your MC in slot 1

Boot the GTA: SA game (backup, HDL, legit all work)

Let the game do its new game loading thing

Once the cut scene is over with and your display is telling you to get on the bike go to the "START" menu

Once at the menu you then go to "NEW GAME"

From there a dialog will pop up asking you what you would like to do

Its rather strait forward from there own on out

TO USE THE MODS:

Once the mod is loaded (can take up to 3mins in some cases ~ so have a beer or a smoke and let the bitch load)

Once the mod starts you can then use the corresponding buttons to use the vehicle or weapon cheats
(note both can not be used at the same time-if it can please correct me on this)

For Vehicle press (D-pad) UP+R2
select the vehicle you want and hit the same buttons again to get out of the mod and jump into the vehicle

For Weapons press (D-pad) UP+R1
screen will zoom in-in front of CJ and weapons will show one at a time
Press the same buttons again to gout out of the mod and pick up the weapon that was selected in front of CJ

Double Post

Im surprised this thread (as of yet) had a post in it..

Is anyone willing to try to convert these patches to NTSC?

With that said I have tried to convert the PAL save to NTSC via hex editing and have not made a working patch (of course MC save editing is not my specialty)..

If anything, can any one explain to me what values changes with in a PAL and NTSC save that makes them so different?..

At first I thought that it could be as easy as changing the name of the PAL's BESLES file to a BASLUS file for NTSC..

However that bombed as it did not work (game would load but I was not able to use the mod with in it)..

I know its all 1 & O's to get this to work with NTSC..

Any help on this matter would be very grateful in deed...

UPDATE

outlaw420_420 made me realize just how dumb I am..
I did a total noob move that I am not thrilled with one damn bit..

However.........

I have a working copy of the save for NTSC versions now..
(only thing left is the translation with in the save files ~ But Ill let some one else battle that one if they choose to do so)

With that said I will convert these saves and have the NTSC versions posted soon..
(CodeBreaker & Action Replay Max NTSC conversions will be made)

Note to self:
Remember to add the ID/ROOT with in save builder before saving
(man Im such a dunderhead)
