PsTwo v12 stopped loading EA games

I recently was helping my brother load a memory card exploit for his v10 PS2 with my memory card since we were not able to FTP into his card and he didn't want to format it. Anyways, ever since I put those files on my memory card my v12 PSTwo will not load any games made by EA. It just freezes at the loading screen. All other games and those loaded with swapmagic work just fine. And yes, I did delete the exploit files from my memory card since I thought that might be screwing with the games. Does anyone know what might be the cause of this problem? (I use 8X TDK DVD+R media if anyone thinks that might be the cause.) Thanks in advance.

I tried it with the card in and the card out and it still doesn't work. I also deleted all the files related to the exploit since it shows up as corrupted data and just takes up room.

what about without any mc in

and have u unplugged it for 5mins to make sure all memory has cleared (it could be a problem :s)

I made a goof in the first post of this thread, I have a v11, not a v12, which shouldn't make a difference, but who knows. Anyways, I have tried it without any memory card in and it still does the same thing. I have also left it unplugged for a full day before trying them again. If anyone has any clue as to what might be going on let me know. Thanks.

isn't the v12 the slim... and won't use the exploit... and the v11 is still a fatso station which can use the exploit....

so this should help a little...

My bad, I was a bit confused with the model numbers. I have a v12 slimline. My brothers is either at V10 or V11, the "fat" model.

u shure its not just cos ure ea game discs are screwed up :s

there is no way the ps2 could "remember" that it shouldnt work with ea games .....

(btw u didnt plug ure mc in after leaving it unplugged did u ? b4 u tested it that is)

This is exactly why I don't understand why it isn't reading them. They are not screwed up becuase they have all worked before and are not scratched. They sit on the shelf in the original cases when they are not in use. I also don't remove or install memory cards when the game is loading.

Just to recap what the problem is: When I try to load any of my retail games made by EA they just freeze at the loading screen. Doesn't matter what the title is. Any help on this subject would be great. Thanks.

Just an update to the problem, I tried copying my retail version of 007 Nightfire (a game made by EA which won't load) and the copy will not load either. Laser stops in the same portion of the disc and just sits locked up. I hope somebody might have a clue as to what is going on. I think I might have to call Sony on this one.
