In fact that old 'rumour' is partly true, though overstated and intentionally misdirecting.

The key to understanding how it is true lies in this phrase from that article:

Sony has confirmed - but the emphasis will be on new titles, not on ports of existing games.

This clearly implies that they were never talking about any game being usable 'as-is' on both consoles, but only of a simple way of porting game projects from one console to the other, as has also been done for a number of titles over the years. Sometimes with additional game features and sometimes just porting the game unchanged.

So the real news in that article does not at all concern any 'dual-platform' game releases, though it might be misinterpreted that way by some. It merely concerns Sony SDK releases allowing game developers to easily produce the same game for separate release on both platforms, or to produce a new PSP release based on porting older game sources. Even back in the day it was written this was hardly any 'hot news', as the ability to port games between different consoles of the same manufacturer is a pretty obvious design goal. They'd have to be total idiots to neglect that opportunity...

PS3 is too costly than ps2 a lad can afford with its pocket money..
as i save money from my lunch and purchase ps2 but sadly no hope for ps3 its just 59$ less than my father income...

i will do some extra work to earn money.......
