PS2 wont still read games after replacement

K im fixing a ps2 its a spch-70011 and the owner bought a new optical block it includes the laser etc. I dont know why it aint working i put it in and its the same thing. It says there is no data. I dont know what to do man the guy payed 50 bucks and the shit wont even work. I did not get any kind of manual and the only manual i know of is the one at mod-chip dot com but you gotta pay to get a manual. Some1 plz help this is what he ordered

Did you remove the anti-static solder bead? You need to remove that dab of solder. This might be at another location if you have a different laser.

I tried to remove all the soldering with my soldering iron but then it looks exactly like the one on the picture 2 lines going down. I cant get the rest of it off.

As long as you can see a line between the solder then you have removed it correctly. If it has ome big blob (technical term) of solder then you haven't removed it.

its like in the picture. I dont know what is wrong with it. Every time i close the top it makes a weird soud it was doing that noise when i got it. My friend says he was playing a game then something was loading and then a white screen came on then he turned it off and on and it wouldnt load games. I knew the laser was broken so i got a new optical block its supposed to be compatible but i dont know whats wrong.

Ok, if that is not the problem then I'm out of ideas. Try another laser if you can.

theres no blob its off i took it off.

Did you use lens changer to reprogram your laser?

that is only reqired for swaping out SPU laser for PVR,KHM..

If your still geting DRE and you have not done laser fix im stumped if it had a bad laser fix installed or those crap neo fix good chance u need to replace RS2004FS chip.. not an ez task for a noob
