Thanks for the infoI did test FMCB in memory slot 2 on the PS2 itself and it worked.
I might have to hold off on getting one of these for alittle while since I am going to replace my PS2![]()

I'd like to get one of these, but what I'm noticing is that square on the top right corner... that piece is to compensate for the missing piece in the slim PS2. The problem is that mine's modified with the HDCombo, so that bit is already filled over.
So I wonder what is in it and if I can possibly just remove it without consequence. Otherwise, it won't be much good to me.

The thing in the corner has the IR receiver in it. The small PCB it is mounted to could cut and the IR receiver moved to below the LEDs, then the protrusion cut off.
It is probably easier to just use the multi-tap to house a 2.5" HDD, as there is enough room with some modifications of the internals of the multi-tap case.
A 3.5" HDD is a little too big though.
a 2.5 in. hdd could fit inside the horizontal muti-tap i guess.

The IR receiver is for the selecting of A/V inputs. Both multi-taps have no buttons for this function and rely solely on the remote.
Yeah Fry's down here had them on clearance so they may not be available at all stores.
They were $10 bucks when I first got one, then the price was like $5 last time I was there.
I picked an extra one up at that price, so if you can't find one, just PM me and I'll ship it to you for $5, plus shipping.
(This offer is only for TehJawknee, I doubt that I will find any next time I visit frys, as they were nearly out last time.)
I'll head to Fry's here tomorrow and see if they have it.
If they don't, I'll PM ya so we can arrange delivery and stuff. Thanks, man.
