where can i find out what version my PS2 is?

my model number is SCPH-30001

so how could you tell if it is V5 or V6?

its something about a screw in the top of the expansion bay.
try doing a search or look at the guides

Just open the expansion bay on the back of the ps2 and look for the screws. Sharker25's link is pretty self explanatory
