So tomorrow im going to buy a used ps2 v10. Im buying it off a friend used with network adapter for 35 bucks. I Have a Harddrive i want to put on it, Its a WD2500JB i checked the ps2 hd list and its there and it says it will work but its says v13 does that matter or will any v10 work as long it says it works. I know u need a modchip and im going to get the modbo4.0. It supports Hdloader right?

well you should modifiy your NA to fit the WD ..

as long as its compatability with PS2 it should work with other version ASAIK .

I know u need a modchip and im going to get the modbo4.0. It supports Hdloader right?

HDLoader or uLaunchELF or SMS they are Homebrew and they need a way to run them like Modchip or Swap Tricks or Cheat Device such an AR Max or CodeBreaker
or they New one which is Called Free Memory Card Boot (FMCB).

so the modchip is just a way a hardware to run backups and homebrew

thanks for the quick reply and i know about modchips since i have a slimv14 modbo4.0 but i never bother with hd since v14 cant have an hdd but what about american adapters i still have to do that? the making it fit?

yep you still need to modify NA to fit WD HDD .
