PS2 struggle to read GOW2.

I'm not sure if this is the right section to put this but here goes.

I backed up God of War 2 to a DVD-R DL and it was working perfectly fine but now it's starting to lag in the videos and loading sign comes up during game play. I beat the game playing it through my hard drive but now I want to use cheats so I need to play off the disc. My PS2 specs are in my signature.

I used good media when burning I used the Verbatim discs. I opened up my PS2 and gave the lense a clean to see if it would help but it's the same thing still.

Does DVD-R DL put a stress on the lense?

Same thing happened on my friends PSTwo Slim one.

Yeah, that happened to me as well and the reason is that the game is transitioning to the second layer, so it will do that until the end.

But if you just want to cheat the game, why dont you just cheat off of the HD? I do it all the time;
- just boot the ELF version of codebreaker v9.2, off of the memorycard or USB, with Ulaunch.ELF.
- Select your cheats and load a burned disk (CD) with ulaunch.ELF on it.
- with ulaunch.ELF open your HDloader then GOW2 or GOW1
- then your set and the cheats will apply to your game!
