I hope somebody will take time and answer me on this two question...

    1. Is there any PS2 shooting game (I remember we played Quake) that is good for online playing? I would like to play it with my friend who lives far away from me.

    2. If it is - how do I play games online? Is there any step by step topic for that kind of playing?

    THANK YOU!!

    1. I liked Killzone a LOT for ps2 Medal of Honor is cool too, just try some, use youtube
if u want to know the gameplay of a game.

    Example: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEDYU6L89to"]YouTube - PS2 BLACK Mission One[/ame]

    2. Setting up your s2 for online gaming isnt that hard. on a fat (big) ps2 u will need a network adapter. On a slim u dont, because the ethernet port is already in the ps2.

from that moment on, just plug the other end of the ethernet cable into your router or network card in your pc (using ICS, Internet Connection Sharing).

here is a nice tutorial have fun

And have you done what the text tells you to do ?

This means that you should boot your 'Network Access Disc' (one comes with every slim PS2 and with every Network Adapter for a fat PS2). And then you should use the booted software to configure your console for Sony-style networking.

The results of this configuring will directly affect the networking hardware, but will also be saved to your MC for future use. And it is there that the networked games will look for this configuration data, in future gaming sessions. And the message you got was given because the game couldn't find any such network configuration data on your MC.

NB: This config has nothing to do with homebrew networking, and most of the settings used for either will have no effect at all on the other. So it is quite possible to use static IP in homebrew, and DHCP-derived IP in the Sony configuration, for example.

    Best regards: dlanor

Now I have network access disc - I created network connection and I keep getting DNAS ERROR (-402).

I do not have any modchip, but I have free mcboot on my memory card if that is any reason.

Well, I'm no expert on online games (I never play that way), but I hear that it takes very special methods to play DNAS games from anything other than the original disc, so let's clarify exactly how you are launching the game here, as I don't think you've mentioned that yet.

So, are you using the original disc or a backup of any form ?

FMCB itself should not be a problem, but I'm not sure what such games may test for.

I do not have original network access disc. I download it (because I didn't get it when I bought PS2). I patched it with esr disc patcher.

I inserted disc, created connection and on last step I got dnas error report.

Is there any trick for that?
