I need help my current reset switch doesn't lite up or turn on the ps2 so i need to find a reset switch for my ps2 77001. So far no matter where i search i can only find a reset button for the 70001 and i'm unsure of weather that would work on a ps2 77001.

you sure it is the switch and not the reset cable?
    Is it the mainboard?
Have you tried using someone else's switch and cable to ensure it is the switch?

    Just curious.

I just have a strange feeling that it is the cable, cause it might have an internal crack or tear. Use a multitester and check for continuity in the cable.......something tells me its the cable. If not, then we will say switch.

I don't think its the ribbon cable. the ribbon is brand new and has never been used before and was well protected by plastic bubbles when shipped and was very straight. Also i don't have a mulitester.
