ps2 remote –

Does anyone know of a remote for ps2 that will actually let you turn the ps2 on?! I can turn it off through various elf files just fine, but it would be even better if there was a way to turn it ON with a remote or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nope no turning on function but what my friend does when he doesnt want to get up when he wakes up he gets a yard stick and presses the reset button on the ps2 so it turns on he has yet to find out a way to switch through games. But yeah i have a ps2 remote and all it does is it works like the use of a dvd player remote. Switch through chapters and such. Etc.

It is possible to turn it off using a different remote.. You could install an infrared switch that switches the on/off/reset button. I wouldn't wanna waste time on that but if you really want that, maybe i'll look unto it sometime. Offcourse I need to know what pulses does the remote send when u press the green button.
