PS2 Problems

Hi, i bought a used PS2 yesterday that had already been upgraded with a magic 3.1 and came with many games all on cdr (backups/rips) but the PS2 refuses to play any orignal, dvd film or dvd backup basically it wont play anything on a dvd disk. plays anything on a cdr perfect including all the games i got and music cds. i was wondering if anybody knows why this is ? any help would be much appreshated Thanks.

Laser needs adjusted, your PS2 has gotten too used to playing CDr, theres a tutorial on this site.

sorry couldnt pass this up. but a ps2 is upgraded with any other chip BUT the magic 3.1
