Ps2 Pre-mods in the UK.

I am looking at getting a PS2 Pre-mod.

I have a couple of questions regarding this as I am new to ps2 mods.

• Whats the best modchip to get ?
• whats the best place to get it (uk only of course)
• what kind ofprice am I looking at ?
• anything else I need to be on the lookout for ?

Hi,

In my opinion the best modchip to get is a MATRIX INFINITY, lots of places sell um, but most are over priced. Your looking at 205.00 for a siver PS2 and 195.00 for a standard black one, but you can pay anything up to 235.00 for these.

I am not to bothered with the colour, to be honest I would rather buy a second hand system, but I want some kind of warentee, so second hand is not really an option.

Yes mate that looks good to me, but i would rather go for the infinity, although the messiah is a good option, dont know how reliable the company is mind, so its down to you.

Sorry to sound like a complete newbie (I know Xbox mods and not PS2) but what is the diffrence between the 2 ?

all I am intrested in is playing backup's and imports.

I can use my Xbox for things like Emu's and video's etc...

Also how much do you charge for shipping, if I where to get a Pre-mod from yourself ?, it would be shipping to somerset.

Hi Mate,

They're the same really, you can play backups and emu's on them, the thing with the MATRIX INFINITY is that it is 100% automatic, you dont need to hold reset button ect, to swap from PS2,DVD,PS1 mode, the chip automatically detects what disc is inserted, so its as if you dont even have a chip at all!
