I would like to connect my ps2 console to my monitor.
There are many TV/Vga boxes to do this but i don't know which one is the best.
I can see that Avermedia TV BOX 7 is a popular converter and it seems that it has a good quality..
Has anyone ever tried Avermedia's TV BOX 7 Live with a ps2 and a computer monitor?
    Any recommendation ?

    Thanks..

i dont recommand playing on a monitor unless u have a VGA box that supports up to 480p. dont get the 1080i one coz its a bit expensive and the only game that supports 1080i right now is GT4. without that, u'll probably smash up both the vgabox and ur monitor coz u cant even figure out which button says "NEW GAME".
    my modding:
matrix infinity: on and off 6 times
external speakers /w leading wire: done
memory card LED (activity + connectivity): done
controller status LED change + vibration LED: done
    color-change lighting in v12: done
rgb to vga for monitors: FAILED due to not enough material
portable/internal LCD: sadly failed, as ps1 screen doesnt fit. planning same mod with intec screen
external harddisk for v12: CANCELED due to v12 breakdown
window for ps2 dvd-drive mod: in progress

Dunno if this is still an issue with you, but i'd say rather than getting a box just run the PS2 through your computer. I use an ATI TV Wonder Pro on my desktop computer, and have my PS2 connected by S-Video and the RCA sound.

Using DScaler (the programs you use to view the PS2 will differ. it's mostly preference), i am able to get better video quality on the PS2 than i've ever seen in general. Guilty Gear XX is smoother and more beautiful than ever, and many other games just run with what i'd consider excellent quality of graphics. (Better so than the TV)

I have tried using my PS2 connected to my TFT in this way, through a Nvidia card with vivo, and using Dscaler, but the picture isn't that great, there is so much lag/juddering effect. I imagine my PC has more than enough power to process the graphics fast, but it just doesn't look good. I was considering a form of TV Box, i had previously used the redant vga box thing, not that great either.
