Get one that takes component Inputs, Using Composite is just gonna lower the picture quality, and you wont be able to acheive Progressive Scan on DVDs if youre using a v9/10.

This is a nice one. http://hardware.teamxbox.com/article...oder-Review/p1

The VD-Z3 i an excellent device.

however, you will not be able to play any non progressive scan games on the monitor, unless you have a monitor that can output 15khz signals, which are few and far between.

If you are serious about picture quality and playing games on your monitor, get the xrgb2+. it is VERY expensive (179+ USD) but rest assured you will get the absolute best in quality.

external tv tuners are quite expensive .. just buy a pci tv tuner .. i bought mine off ebay for $10 and it works great with the component video input from the xbox or ps2 ..

this is what i do right now .. the component cable from the ps2 or xbox (yellow cable) goes into the component in on the pci tv tuner .. then the red/white audio cables go into the input on my soundcard .. and the program i use for displaying the video on my monitor is calld DScaler

Prolific, tv tuner cards are fine for basic stuff.

but one correction. you are using a composite, not component connection. composite is only one signal wire (yellow) whereas component is 3 signal wires (Red, Green, and Blue). The picture quality will be acceptable, but i dont know how good he wants the quality, hence why i suggested the xrgb2.
