Had this crazy idea as I had one V4 with busted CDVD-drive and the BA responsible for the disc spinning motor burnt. I was going to use DMS3 and HDLoader launched from MC to play stuff from the HDD which I installed in my working V5.

The problem is that I've removed the BA in hopes of getting a new one some day and when switched on the PS2 just stays there with a black screen. They say that V4 with DMS3 is extremely sensitive to interference. Could be. I've already tried to wire the chip several different ways with no luck. Disabling the chip holding eject brings the machine into life so I think the chip is OK. I just hope the missing BA isn't causing this.

Any modders with experience on V4 with DMS3? Is it really that sensitive to interference?
