I want to stuff a slim line ps2 into a nes case and use the nes original connections but will it fit if

    I remove the drive
Have 1 memory card in slot
    and 1 flash drive

I was thinking I could just flip over the mem card slot so it'd fit and use a usb extension cable for the flash drive..

As long as the ps2 will boot without a disc drive it should fit.. I'd like to use original nes controlers, think I can wire them up?

I love doing that sort of thing, I've seen it done with a pc but cant afford it and I don't want to lose my psp makin it lol..

Some kids giving me an old slim ps2 with a broken disc drive - perfect
I've seen the fat ps2 apart and the memory card slots are on a ribbon cable so you could keep a memory card inside the system, I'm guessing its the same on the slim... hopefully

I almost want to say that the slim ps2 would work better in the gen 2 segaCD setup. since the drive is on the right hand side and is a flip top too.

Nice... if you are going to start doing it, you should take some pics of the project from start to finish.

I would be hesitant on using an actual NES since they are selling high on ebay, but I would suggest getting one of the case replacements to stick it in. That way it still looks like a NES but, you aren't wasting a perfectly good NES console ^_^.

    Yep this is true..
However I see the SLIM version would be bit better layout in this project to fit into a NES case..

Remember to vent the system well (even add another fan in this case)..
As the PS2 will run pretty hot running in such an enclosed case like what the NES uses..

    Good luck on the project..

    Later,

Ya Im Bi-Poler and proud of it
    My list of goodies:
    PS2 Version 1, 3, 9 (Magic V 50K) & 12
    FMCB 1.8b/ESR/OPL/HDL (.8c)
    PSP 2001 (Gen-D3)

Don't mind the smell!.. My brain farts a lot!
