Ps2 Modding Help –
I got A Slim Ps2 and i want to be able to save games onto my ps2, i think i need a modchip, and a harddrive or w/e but i have idea about modding ps2's or anything and i dont know what i need to do it. and i was woundering how you guys burn ps2 games to dvd disk or w/e you guys do? and if you tell me what i need can you also exsplain to mewhat it does and why and how it works please?
Check out this site on and you will find how to backup ps2 games under the Questions and Answers link on the left http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/ . I would highly suggest getting the DMS4 Pro chip and off course you will need the "resister fix" to prevent your laser from going out. You will need to be an experienced solderer if you are going to install a chip into a slim ps2 because it is no walk in the park.
i dont think my parents wil let my mess with my ps2 cause they think it will break but what about a HDD?
Well if your parents won't let you physically change or upgrade the PS2 there are other methods that have similar effects to the moddchip that include swapping disks, and mc exploits... There are ways to get around the modchip thing, it's just the modchips are a little easier to use as most support no swap...
And have a look here it is the swap mod section of these forums...
Hope this info helps...
thanks for the info guys, but i knwo im woundering about the HDD for my ps2 do they make an internal HDD for the slim ps2's? i want it to be able to store games on it..

Hope this helps.
