    I was looking at some high capacity memory cards for PS2, Such as from Datel and the memor32 (As for the memor32, not so interested in the "other" features, so this card may be a bit expensive for my uses.) I've heard some bad things about some of the higher capacity cards. I have 2 16 meg Datel cards, one works flawlessly.. the other works ALMOST flawlessly... it is a 16 meg, but reports to the ps2 (including software, and stuff like ulaunch elf) that it is 32 megs.

    Anyways, I was wanting to know some reputable higher capacity cards, since the VMC HD prject is a little too technical for me to try.
    PS2 V7 = Exploit, 320GB Seagate HD.
    Wii = Softmodded+BootMii Boot2
    PS3 = Caught on fire..
    XBOX360 = Unmodded
    Nintendo DSI XL = Unmodded

    I'm not aware of any high-capacity cards that are 100% compatible. gothi (who probably knows more about PS2 saves than anyone outside of SCEI, Datel, or Memento) has said that some games actually check the card capacity and refuse to save on anything other than an 8MB card...

    Well I'm mainly looking for something reliable.. As I have heard some third party cards corrupt often.

    In my opinion and in the opinion of others, the most reliable third-party memory card is the Datel Max Memory 32MB Memory Card. Maybe that has changed over the past few months, but it was the best that I knew of since last year. Here's the thread I started related to compatiblity questions for the datel max memory 16/32/64MB cards. I believe the 64MB still has issues, but the 32MB works great, not sure about the 16MB. The older versions of the 32MB had issues, but were resolved in later versions.

    Alright thanks. It was really hard not to revive that compatibility thread from the dead :P I have a few games such as Okami and such that work fine on my card.

    Edit:
    Hmm How about The new memory plus or whatever from Datel? (http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/P..._EF000554.aspx) And as for the memor32, is the save system reliable on it?

    I have no idea, since I have only ever used the offical Sony 8MB and the Datel 32MB. Maybe soneone else can reply who have tried one of these cards.

    The Katana Mem Cards should be the most compatible high capacity cards available. Each card has 8MB "pages" of memory, so all games only see 8 MB at a time and don't give the weird errors you get with the Datel cards. I never actually saved anything onto it as I needed the $40 more than I needed another memory card.
    I got mine at Target.
    It also is officially licensed by Sony and uses Magic Gate, which the Datel and other fake looking clone mem cards do not. Link to official site below.

    The above is fine. This is what you know, having checked it yourself or gathered it as basic info of how the product works.

    It also is officially licensed by Sony and uses Magic Gate, which the Datel and other fake looking clone mem cards do not.
    But how do you know this. Simply because they say so...?
    Which in fact they don't. They do say that it's 'official' and 'licensed' but out of context such statements are meaningless. Such words must relate to something to gain meaning, and they certainly can't relate to Sony, since that company name is not mentioned even once on the page you linked to. (Which in itself is definite proof that Sony never approved this product.)

    Best regards: dlanor

    I did a little research and they are licensed by Sony:

    I own the 64mb Datel memory card for like a year now. No problems at all with crash, or game not being saved, the only problem that i know of is that it saves and load slow.
