My ps2 is having trouble loading dvd-r's. I have a V2 PS2 with a magic 3.1. One game loaded fine one day, played great, the next day it doesnt load at all, put in another game (arc the lad & kingdom hearts played fine.) then put in dark cloud 2 loading takes forever and skips, same for downhill domination which previously worked ok. Now im wondering what could be the problem. used same media for all of em. DVD movies play fine no skipping and such.

Simple . . It seems that the wires not have glue on it . .
The Wires of your PS2 only have security by the Solder and the Chip so they lately let it go and go sit in strange positions . . .
Some Wires will fall in your PS2 and could damage something, open up your PS2 and glue the wires on the Mainboard, or just use double-sided tape and put it on al the wires in a bundle . . .
then put the double-sided tape (must be universal tape) on the mainboard so it stay's put . . .

Then check al connections and reassemble your Ps2 unit.
Start it up and that should do the trick . .

If you need help . . just mail me at: jijbentwelok@hotmail.com

    See ya!!
