    Just a small question. is the ps2 link cable the same as the cable to connect a sony digital camcorder to a laptop (firewire/i.link/ ie 1394 or whatever it is) port?
    Just wanted to know. so I can save a bit of money and kill two birds with one stone.

    yep

    but computers tend to use a 6-pin firewire connector, whereas the ps2 uses a 4 pin connector(as do dv camcorders). therefore, to connect ps2>ps2 you would use 4pin to 4pin. dv>pc would be 4pin to 6pin.

    im pretty sure you can get 6pin>4pin adaptors though
