ps2 into linux computer
I am a noob when it comes to ps2 but i was thinking of getting one to turn it into a linux computer how much functionality is there for the ps2 as an actual linux computer can you do wifi and whatnot if you get an adapter can someone please post what all you can do with it as a linux computer? what i mean is can it be used as a substitute for a normal computer

I doubt you can do wifi on it, certainly not with the official kit, don't think so on blackrhino version. As for how far it goes, it works surprisingly well concidering you've only got 32megs of ram.
What you'll need is a PS2 (phat one with network module, chipped or swapmagic for booting blackrhino) and a HDD

so its like a super simple computer?

Really not worth it,first of all youd spend about as much on adapters and what not as you would for cables and adapters to hook a pc up to your tv,
2nd point, its super slow, you can buy an old p4 pc thats a hell of alot faster for about $60,
But if your looking to do it just to learn or hobbyist type stuff then go for it just dont expect much.
