ps2 -green light on button-, black screen

Sometimes when I boot ps2 the green and blue light on buttons appear and it sounds as if it working but my screen is black, it does not get to the blue screen were it says "Sony computer entertainment" so I have to turn ps2 off a couple e of times. WTF!??

Maybe it's your cable?

ps2 moded or not?
If moded may be not too good and bios block
resolder mod carefuly and check for spots at pins of IC's
If you leave game with no Sony comp.ent. screen it will blow BA5815
