the first thing is the power supply. The PAL version works off 220V and the NTSC version works off 110V (or somewhere around there) - I'm not sure if the PS2's power supply is universal.

To play NTSC games on a PAL or visa-versa you need your PS2 chipped. Most TV's support NTSC/PAL so if its modded (most mod chips supports auto NTSC/PAL) you should just have to connect it up and start playing.

Is your PS2 chipped - do you know what type of chip is fitted?

as far as I know the slimline v12+ have a universal power supply works from 110 -240v. The only thing you need is a cable from the plug to the power supply shouldn't be a problem. If you have a HDTV set then the ps2 will work because HDTV support PAL / NTSC. Only problem is only pal games will work if you got no modchip. So I'll recommend to buy a modchip or maybe go to best buy ask if you could swap your pal console for a ntsc one if you buy one 2 games.
