  1. #1 Exclamation Ps2 Dms3 V2.0 (1.6b) Problems Reading Cd-r's

    Hy there! I have a problem with my ps2! I have a ps2 v5 pal with a dms3 v2.0 (v1.6b) .

I have many games that sometimes do not enter at first boot, or sometimes they never enter.... .

    This is what happen:

I insert the cd-r (is rip game - the cd is SONy cd-r).
The ps2 starts to read, then i say a blackscreen. Then stop reading and a few seconds i see the mensage "CAN'T READ DISC".
Then if i eject the cd-r i go directly do the browser!

The strange thing is that sometimes the game boot directly other times this problem happens!!!!

Is the laser dirty? or broken? The ps2 v5 is new, i changed because my v7 went to sony and they give me this console (v5) and i put a dms3 :P .

    Anyone to help me ?

Did the games work before? I would say upgrade to 1.6c and see if it makes a difference. If I'm not mistaken....V5s were notorius for bad lasers....but I could be wrong.

no isn't the laser.. i put my dms3 sthealh mode and laser works fine with every cd's (orginals of course). No it is not working with version 1.3 too . With the v1.3 sometimes the game enter other times i see the red screen.. i think it can be a bad instalation of chip.. all games work fine in a ps2 with a matrix mxl of a friend my. Any ideias?

Its the games. i have noticed that some releases of rips just dont boot well. Especially on a magic 3.1 but they also some times have problems on Messiah 2 and DMS3. If all your other games work well and CD based games play fine in stealth mode then it has to be the game its self.

But L-dubb all the games that don't boot in my ps2 v5 pal with DMS3 v2.0 works fine in ps2 with a MATRIX MXL!! How can it be possible?? :/

Original cd's work well... But cd-r rip's sometimes don't boot at first or never boot.... in my dms3
