    I was wondering which brand of ps2 dvd-r is the best to use and please don't say tdk. Also can you say what the disc colour is e.g silver, gold, blue or black.

    I use Verbatim DVD+R(booktype them to DVD-ROM)and don't have any problems with them.With DVD-R my PS2 boot them whenever he want.

    its also best to burn at the discs optimum speed not at the lowest setting

    50% of the max disc speed works well. I've even burned a 100% max disc speed as well with no issues on the disc at all.

    I use the same, sometime Taiyo Yuden DVD+R, which ever is the better deal at the time. I usually get 16X media and burn it at 4-8X depending what the burner supports.
