    ok so i go to see if it works and shit i plug it in and flip the psu on and nothing no lite on the start reset i hit it and the ps2 dont start??? idk what to do now

    Try opening it up and see if there are any cables disconnected or if the power supply even has a fuse.

    test the fuse in the plug then test the fuses in the psu

    no no no i opend it but do i need eveything connected i wanted to make sure it still worked befor instaling a lcd so i pluged in the psu and plug in the on/reset ribon and tryed to turn it on but no luck do i need it all plug in?

    All you need is a working PSU and the ribbon cable properly connected. If it's still not powering on, you may have a blown motherboard fuse.
