ps2 color cable

I have a modded PS2 that is PAL and i previously asked one of the guys at a store, if it would work with the TVs in the U.S. He told me it would work, but I might need to buy a different type of cable instead of the standard AV-cables, for better color quality. I tried hooking up the PS2 to a TV here with a AV cable and the images came out in black and white. I forgot what type of cable it was that the guy was suggesting I should buy, so does anyone know what type of cables i should get?

RGB-cable.

it will still be PAL with RGB cables wont it? so it will still not display properly. you'll need TV that supports PAL to have it displayed properly or Modchip that will FIX it for you.
