PS2 Black Screen after HDL

Hello guys! Please help me with my ps2 problem.

I have 2 ps2 units, 1 black (SCPH-39004) and 1 silver (SCPH-50004).

I'm using HDLoader via freemcboot.

My silver ps2's lens is not working, but i don't mind since i'm using a HD via Network Adapter. A few months ago it was working, then i suddenly got this black screen after selecting games at HDL. I was thinking it was a HD problem, but i tried a different HD and still got the same results. I tried asking some "technicians" around my area about my problem, and all they are saying is i have a lens problem. I told them that I use a HD for ps2, but it looks that they have no idea about a ps2 HD.

After some time, i got my black ps2 for a very very cheap price. I plugged in my HD which i used for the silver ps2, and it worked fine.

So my question is, what could be the problem of my silver PS2? oh, and btw, i can still use my silver ps2 for SMS.

By that do you mean that you can use the hdd on the silver PS2 in any other way(playing audio/video files from it using SMS,saving on it using ULE...)except playing games from it?

And on that black PS2 that you get do you use the same hdd,network adapter and the memory card with FMCB and HDLoader that you used on the silver PS2?

yes, that's it. i can also play audio/video using SMS through USB thumb drive.

yes also. but all is working on the black.

Try deleting both files using Ule inside the HDLoader Settings folder inside the hdd and try again.

when i plug my hdd in the silver ps2, there are no files in the HDLoader Settings folder in the HDD. but, i found the files in the black, and deleted it. after that, i put my hdd back in the silver and it only showed 1 game (i have 20+ games in my hdd). gonna try to put it back on the black ps2.

EDIT:
i already put my hdd back in the black ps2. all my games are shown there. but the silver only shows 1 game, and it still can't run after selecting it, still getting the black screen.

I guess your black PS2 is an older FAT (pre-V9) and your silver FAT is a V9.
Try another HDLoader, which is patched to run on a V9 without laser.

Edit: O.k. It also could be a broken fuse on the PS2-MoBo.

Isn't the silver PS2 v11 :chinscrat(I always thought it is)

I left with the impression that he uses the same hdloader that he uses now on the black PS2 but if it's not the same then most likely this will be the problem

i only use 1 HDLoader, the one you get with the freemcboot newbie installer.

thank you vsub for the HDL. i'm gonna try it later and get back, since my roommate is using my TV right now (lol).

It could be, yes.
I´m not sure about.
But regardless of this, (afaik) this patch is used for all 50k-Models (so V9-11).

Even if he uses the same loader, it could be patched for pre-V9s and is missing the patch for not seeking for discs.

Just an assumption, if the HDL is correct (and because of his/her edit).

hello again. still having the same problem, even with the HDL from vsub.

what version of HDL would have the v9-v11 patch? i'm using HDL 8.0c.

oh, and even in uLE, only one game is showing.

still there are no files in the HDL setting folder in the HDD.
